Here we are in Haiti! In 1862 a Frenchman named Dupré Barbancourt from the Cognac region settled on the island to create the Barbancourt distillery. With its experience in cognac, the distillery uses the double distillation method to develop its agricultural rums. The production is artisanal for decades until the development of Jean Gardère in the 1940s who considerably developed the business. It is located in the heart of the island in the middle of the cane fields in the Cul-de-sac plain. Barbancourt has always belonged to the same family since its creation. It is the most famous of Haiti and it is recognized internationally through numerous awards each year.
This 3-star Barbancourt is a pure cane juice agricultural rum which has been distilled twice using the Charentaise method specific to the distillery. The juices were then aged for 4 years in barrels in Limousin oak barrels. This cuvée has received numerous medals at various international competitions. A rum with an uncontrollable value for money!
All the bottles displayed in our website are stocked in our cellar in Bordeaux.
