Domaine Neumeyer - Riesling Hospices 2020
Domaine Neumeyer is located in Molsheim, Alsace. The estate was founded in 1925 and four generations have followed since. The current team is made up of Jérôme Neumeyer, Marie Neumeyer-Tonner and Frédéric Tonner. The vineyard covers 16 hectares, spread over three municipalities, including the famous localities Schaefferstein, Stierkopf and the Grand Cru Bruderthal. All the plots are managed according to the principles of organic farming and the winemaking techniques are minimalist.
Riesling Hospices comes from vines cultivated at an altitude of 230 meters on marl-limestone soil, which are around thirty years old. The vinification is carried out with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel vats. The wine is aged on fine lees and is bottled with 5.5 g/L of residual sugar.
