SAMAROLI - Trinidad 2003 - Single Cask n°29 - Edition 2022 for Rhum des Vins - 55%
Born in Bologna, Italy , Silvano Samaroli , the founder of the house, started his activity in 1968 by selecting and bottling some of the best whiskeys in the world. At the start, he was the only independent bottler who was not British. In the 1990s, Samaroli added rum to its selection: it went in search of the best distilleries and brought the barrels back to Scotland, where the climate allows for slower ageing. In 2008, Antonio Bleve , who has worked with Mr. Samaroli for many years and shares his philosophy and his passion, took over the business. In collaboration with a community of rum and whiskey experts, Antonio continues his quest for exceptional barrels thanks to the House's historical relationships and new encounters. Samaroli also pursues research work on blending, combining the flavors of aged eaux-de-vie with the power of the youngest to recreate the soul of whisky, in particular by ironing whiskeys or rums in new barrels, to bring them incomparable depth compared to classic Single Malts. Samaroli offers Single Malts and single cask rums chosen for their exceptional character. Each Samaroli bottle indicates the year of cask, the year of bottling, the number of bottles obtained from each cask, and the individual bottle number.
This rum distilled in 2003 in Trinidad is aged in Scotland by Samaroli and bottled in 2022. It comes from a single cask ( #29).
