Domaine Bornard - Over the Generations - Chardonnay 2019
Domaine Philippe Bornard is one of the most famous in the Jura . Originally from the village of Pupillin, Philippe Bornard had always worked the vines but sold his grapes to the village cooperative cellar before taking the plunge, in 2005, to produce his own wines. Today, Tony Bornard (his son) operates the estate which extends over 11 hectares in Arbois-Pupillin, and in Côtes du Jura. The vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Savagnin and Melon for the white grape varieties and with Ploussard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir for the red grape varieties. The vines are cultivated with respect for the environment, in organic certification with very little human intervention.
Au Fil des Générations Blanc 2019 is a blend of all the estate's Chardonnay plots. This cuvée was born because of the frost which reduced the yields of the 2019 vintage.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
