Château RAUZAN-SÉGLA 2007

Château Rauzan-Ségla is located in Margaux , in the Bordeaux wine region. It was classified as a Second Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. The château was initially founded under the name Domaine de Rauzan in 1661 by Pierre Desmezures, an important figure in the history of Bordeaux who, at the time, also owned the Margaux and Latour castles. Eventually, the property came under the control of Baroness de Ségla, Catherine de Rauzan, who renamed it Rauzan-Ségla. In 1994, the estate was bought by Maison Chanel . The vineyard covers 70 hectares, with the average age of the vines being 37 years.

Château Rauzan-Ségla 2007 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (59%), Merlot (36%) and Petit Verdot (5%) . After plot vinification, the wine is aged for 18 months in barrels , 60% of which are new.
