Domaine Alain Gras - Saint-Romain Blanc - The Five Climates 2023

Domaine Alain Gras is located in the Saint-Romain appellation in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy . The estate was founded in 1979 and today covers 12 hectares in Saint-Romain, Meursault and Auxey-Duresses. The vineyard is managed using sustainable agriculture .

This Saint-Romain is made from a blend of Chardonnay grapes from 5 climates : Sous la Velle, Poillange, Croix Neuve, Le Jarron and Le Village Haut. The average age of the vines is 40 years. After manual harvesting, the grapes are put into direct pressing. The wine is aged for 12 months in vats and barrels , 20% of which are new.
