Château Carbonnieux - White 2023

Château Carbonnieux is located in Pessac-Léognan , in the Bordeaux wine region. The estate was founded in the 13th century and, over the next six centuries, its ownership was passed down to many of France's bourgeois families, including the Bouchereau family (founders of Clos des Millésimes). The château's modern history begins in the mid-1900s when it was purchased by the Perrin family . Marc Perrin and his son first began a major replanting campaign that increased the estate to 45 hectares in 1970 and then to 70 hectares in 1980, reaching nearly 95 hectares today. Château Carbonnieux is committed to practicing organic and sustainable agriculture throughout the vineyard and is certified HVE3 (High Environmental Value Level 3).

Château Carbonnieux Blanc 2023 is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc (68%) and Sémillon (32%) . The harvest is manual followed by a double sorting of the grapes before pressing and cold settling. Fermentation and aging are carried out in barrels (225 or 400 liters) or tuns (30 to 50 hectoliters). The aging lasts 10 months in barrels and tuns, 25% of which are new.
