Domaine Georges Descombes is located in Villié-Morgon, in the Beaujolais region . In 1988, Georges took over the family estate he inherited from his grandmother. At the time, he also worked for a bottling company and other winemakers in the region. It wasn't until 1993 that he devoted himself entirely to his own estate. Since the beginning, the vineyard, which now covers 17 hectares, has been cultivated organically, without certification . He owns 7 hectares in Morgon, the rest of the plots are in Brouilly, Régnié, Chiroubles and other wines are produced under the Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages appellations.
This vintage is made from Chardonnay . The wine is vinified in vats and then aged for 12 months in old barrels .
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
"A straightforward, unvarnished Chardonnay: chalky tension, crisp white fruits, and a hint of hazelnut on the finish. A lively expression of white Beaujolais, between freshness and depth."
