Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
Château Dassault is a nineteenth-century Second Empire style château of 1,000 m2 associated with a 28-hectare vineyard in the Saint-Émilion vineyard in Saint-Émilion, Gironde.
It is owned by industrial aircraft manufacturer Marcel Dassault since 1955 and his grandson Laurent Dassault since 1994.
In 1969, Château Dassault obtained the classification Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé.
Laurent Dassault and his director Laurence Brun-Vergriette (succeeding his father André Vergriette) lead and exploit the vineyard of 27 hectares and the average age of the vines is 35 years.
The grape varieties are 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
