Maison Camille Thiriet – Côte de Nuits-Villages “Cuvée Deslandes” 2024
The Domaine Camille Thiriet is located in Comblanchien, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. Founded in 2016 by Camille Thiriet and Matt Chittick, this young Burgundy estate quickly established itself among the most followed names in the region thanks to an artisanal and minimally interventionist approach. The estate currently cultivates about 6 hectares of vines and favors gentle vinifications aimed at preserving the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroirs. The grapes are worked with meticulous care, extractions remain delicate, and the aging seeks balance rather than power. This philosophy allows the production of precise, elegant wines that are particularly representative of their origin. The Cuvée Deslandes fully embodies this quest for finesse and authenticity.
This cuvée comes from the Côte de Nuits-Villages appellation and originates from two parcels located in Corgoloin and Comblanchien, planted with vines about sixty years old. The 2024 vintage highlights a Pinot Noir that is both pure and expressive, made according to the vinification principles characteristic of the estate: rigorous sorting of the harvest, minimal interventions, and constant pursuit of balance. The wine reveals a deep ruby color and a bouquet dominated by small red and black fruits, accompanied by floral nuances, soft spices, and a touch of licorice. This refined aromatic expression perfectly reflects the airy style sought by Camille Thiriet. The structure remains elegant without excessive extraction, favoring freshness and precision.
On tasting, the whole seduces by its balance between indulgence and tension. Aromas of cherry, raspberry, blackberry, and blackcurrant express themselves clearly while fine tannins provide a silky and refined texture. The palate maintains a beautiful freshness that lengthens the finish and highlights the energetic character of the wine. Accessible from its youth thanks to its vibrant fruit, this cuvée also has aging potential that can reach about ten years. It will happily accompany roasted poultry, duck breast, white meats in sauce, or lightly matured cheeses. A particularly appealing Côte de Nuits-Villages to discover the precise and contemporary style of the estate.
