Saumur - Thierry GERMAIN - UNUSUAL - Biodynamic DES ROCHES NEUVES 2016

This Chenin Blanc is produced in the town of Saumur, at the localities "Les Cerpes" and "Saint Vincent", the soil is of clay-limestone composition and silt with flint. The harvest is manual and is carried out in boxes. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in 12 hL oval Stoeckinger vats, in order to preserve the minerality of the terroir. The wine is then matured for 9 months on fine lees.

The color is light yellow, with a shiny almost silvery disc. The nose is magnificent, with aromas of white fruit, pear, vine peach, grapefruit and delicate notes of dried herbs, verbena. The palate is sumptuous, with a great balance between fat and tension. The finish evokes slightly anise notes. A sumptuous vintage to discover without further delay!
