In the lap since 2007 of the Rouzaud family (Louis Roederer champagnes), the cru opens a new page in its history. Managed by Nicolas Glumineau, equipped with a new cellar and a state-of-the-art winery, he is relaunching himself in the race for excellence and intends to take back the place of "super second" that he had in the 80s, thanks to the production of a series of legendary wines (1982, 1986, 1989). If the 2000s were less successful, the last vintages, delivering a more precise and straightforward wine, more marked by Cabernets, are much more convincing.
The wines: the 2016, 2015 and 2014 trio allows Pichon Comtesse to pick up the very best Médoc wines from the peloton. The usual softness of the vintage is carried by a deeper frame. First, 2016 was on top of the summit and should join the legendary 1982!
