Château CHASSE-SPLEEN 1990
The name of the Château Chasse Spleen evokes Charles Baudelaire, poet of the "Fleurs du Mal" - a poem collection between horror and ecstasy - who, falling under the spell of wines, would have recognised the power to evacuate melancholy.
Located on the Moulis appellation, in the heart of the Médoc, Château Chasse-Spleen covers 90 hectares. The wine estate of Chasse Spleen was created too late to be part of the1855 classification, so it was necessary to wait until 1932 for it to be classified Grand Cru Exceptionnel.
Château Chasse Spleen produces rich, powerful and robust wines. The robe is deep, the nose exudes aromas of red fruits and cassis with notes of cocoa and oak, the mouth offers elegant tannins.
This was the year of success in all the vineyards: the wine of the 1990 vintage is extremely famous! Great year for the wine of Bordeaux 1990 where despite the heat wave, quantity rhymes with quality.
