DOMAINE DE CHEVALIER 1978
Located in Léognan, capital of the Graves, the Domaine de Chevalier is of very old origin. In 1983, this Grand Cru Classé in the Pessac-Léognan appellation was acquired by the Bernard family, the French leader in the eaux-de-vie and a major wine merchant in Bordeaux. It has been managed since then by Olivier Bernard.
The Domaine de Chevalier has 50 hectares of vines in red (the repartition is 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc) and 5 hectares in white (70% Sauvignon and 30% Sémillon).
All of the wines from the 1978 vintage are now mature.
