Champagne Delamotte - Blanc de Blancs - Millésime 2012 - Coffret
Champagne Delamotte is a Champagne house located in the Côte de Blancs. It was established in 1760 by François Delamotte, and is known for its dedication to Chardonnay just like its "sister house", legendary Champagne Salon. In years deemed insufficient for Salon, the grapes are part of Champagne Delamotte. The champagne is primarily produced with fruit grown from chalk soils in the Grand Cru villages of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, Oger, and Cramant. Delamotte is best known for its Blanc de Blancs Champagnes, but also cultivates some Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier for its Brut and Rosé Champagnes. The house shares the same viticultural, winemaking, and management team as Champagne Salon to produce its Champagnes. Today, Champagne Delamotte, alongside Champagne Salon, are managed by Didier Depond(Chairman) and Michel Fauconnet, Cellar Master and Production Director of the Laurent-Perrier group.
Delamotte Blanc de Blancs 2012 is made from Chardonnay from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger (20%), Avize (20%), Oger (20%), Chouilly and Oiry. It is aged for 6 years before release.
