Domaine Neumeyer - Gewurztraminer StierKopf - Taureau 2017
Domaine Neumeyer is located in Molsheim, Alsace. The estate was founded in 1925 and four generations have followed since. The current team is made up of Jérôme Neumeyer, Marie Neumeyer-Tonner and Frédéric Tonner. The vineyard covers 16 hectares, spread over three municipalities, including the famous localities Schaefferstein, Stierkopf and the Grand Cru Bruderthal. All the plots are managed according to the principles of organic farming and the winemaking techniques are minimalist.
The Gewurztraminer Taureau is a plot cuvée from the locality of Stierkopf in Mutzig, which literally means “bull's head”. This south-facing terroir benefits from a steep slope, which allows the grapes to mature perfectly.
Grape variety: 100% Gewurztraminer
