Domaine Chiroulet - Soleil d'Automne 2020
Domaine Chiroulet is located in the Gers, on the land of Armagnac, in Gascony. It was created in 1893 and the property then covered 5 hectares dedicated to mixed farming and breeding. Alban Sourbès, winemaker and distiller experienced the dark years of phylloxera and led the estate until 1935. The property was passed on to his niece, Suzanne Capmartin, and her husband Albert Fezas conceived an extension project that did not come to fruition because of World War II. It was his grandson and current owner Philippe Fezas who diversified the activities of the estate. Near completion, the switch to organic farming reinforces a commitment that extends to the environment near the vines, in an agroforestry project. This principle, which is beneficial to the vine ecosystem, makes it possible to relocate the biomass on the plots, to regulate the auxiliary fauna and the ambient microclimate. It is in a responsible spirit and a holistic approach that Domaine Chiroulet is thus operated.
Soleil D'Automne is a sweet wine, the result of a blend of raisainy berries from Gros Manseng (70%) and Petit Manseng (30%).
Grape varieties: 70% Gros Manseng, 30% Petit Manseng
