Domaine Patrick Baudouin - Effusion Anjou blanc 2019
Domaine Patrick Baudouin has thirteen hectares of vines on the terroirs of "Black Anjou", west of Anjou, in the Loire Valley. The soil is made up of schists, sandstone, volcanic rocks from the very old Armorican bedrock. In the vineyard; certified organic farming, constant search for the best human / biotope work ratio, for a non-destructive and sustainable culture. Horse work on the whole area, trees, green building ... The range consists of Chenins de Savennières, Quarts de Chaume, dry white, semi-dry Anjous, and Côteaux du liquoreux layon, Red Anjous from Cabernets. The cellar, built in noble materials in 1910, has a neat, harmonious, and functional architecture.
The Effusion cuvée was inaugurated in 2001. It is a blend of plots of Chenin Blanc with an average age of 26 years. Pressing is direct, followed by overnight settling at cellar temperature. The batch is blended in vats and fermentation starts on yeast from the estate. The malolactic conversion is spontaneous and the wine is aged in barrels.
