Domaine Les Bruyeres - David Reynaud - Les Croix - Vielles vignes 2018
Domaine Les Bruyères is located in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, in the Rhône Valley. Managed by David Reynaud since 2000, the estate produces certified organic and biodynamic wines. The estate extends over 27 hectares of vines, on a terroir made up of clay-limestone and pebble terraces.
Les Croix is made from Syrah from a plot of vines over 60 years old. The harvest is harvested manually with a manual sorting on the vines then on a sorting table. The grapes are entirely destemmed and vatted then devatted by gravity. The vinification is traditional and takes place in concrete vats. The vatting lasts from 28 to 32 days with punching down and pressing is done with a vertical press of 5 hectoliters at low pressure. Aging lasts 18 months, including 12 months in old barrels then 6 months in concrete vats.
Grape variety: 100% Syrah
