Château CAMENSAC 1988
Château de Camensac is located in Saint-Laurent-Médoc, in the Haut-Médoc of Bordeaux. Château Camensac has was bought in 2005 by the Merlaut family who also own Chasse-Spleen and Gruaud-Larose. It had previously been owned by the Rioja-based Forner family of Marques de Caceres fame.
Château de Camensac is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Vinification is carried out in wooden and concrete vats. Ageing lasts 18 months in barrels, with 50% new oak barrels each year.
1988 is considered “Very Grand Vintage” in the Haut-Médoc
