Château CLEMENT PICHON 2016
Château Clément-Pichon is located in the Haut-Médoc appellation in the Bordeaux wine region. In 1976, Clément Fayat acquired the property and undertook the complete restructuring of the vineyard. Its grape variety, made up of more than 70% Merlot, makes Château Clément-Pichon a Médoc exception. Since 2012, Jean-Claude Fayat (the son of Clément Fayat) has been in charge of managing the vineyards, which include three prestigious properties including Château La Dominique, Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion and Château Fayat in Pomerol.
Château Clément-Pichon 2016 is a blend of Merlot (85%), Cabernet Sauvignon (11%) and Cabernet Franc (4%) . The average age of the vines is 25 years. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats. The wine is aged for 12 months in stainless steel vats (70%) and the rest in barrels : 64% new wood and 36% single wine barrels.
