MHOBA - Bushfire - 55%
Mhoba is an agricultural amber rum produced in South Africa. It is made from a local sugarcane variety called Nkomazi. The cane juice is fermented in part by a local baker's yeast as well as wild yeasts. The distillation is carried out using an iron still designed by Robert Greaves.
Bushfire refers to Braai, the traditional South African barbecue. As it ages, the rum infuses pieces of Acacia Santo Domingo (Sickle Bush), a very aromatic wood used for Braai.
