Château du Cèdre - Cuvée le Cèdre 2000
Château du Cèdre is a family estate created in 1988 and located in the Cahors appellation. It extends over 27 hectares and has developed its notoriety in particular with its wines made from Malbec , but also from Merlot and Tannat. The Château also owns a few vines of Viognier, Sémillon, Muscadelle and Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyard is conducted in organic farming .
Le Cèdre is made from Malbec . The age of the vines varies between 30 and 50 years. The vatting lasts 30 days, without oenological inputs. The aging lasts 24 months in tuns and barrels . The 2000 vintage is considered exceptional in Cahors.
