Château CLINET 2017
Château Clinet is located in the Pomerol appellation, on the right bank of the Bordeaux wine region. The property dates back to 1595 and was purchased by the Laborde family in 1999. With the help of consultant Michel Rolland, they introduced modern winemaking techniques in the cellar, and increased the aging time of the Grand Vin in new barrels. In 2004, Ronan Laborde took over the management of the château and also undertook major transformations: replanting, development of eco-responsible practices, construction of new production infrastructures and reorganization of the distribution of Clinet wines. The vineyard now extends over 11 hectares, cultivated according to sustainable practices .
Château Clinet is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc . After manual sorting, the Grand Vin is vinified in stainless steel vats with manual punching down. It is aged for approximately 16 months in 225-litre barrels, with 75% new wood and 25% one-year-old wood.
