Càrn Mòr is a brand of whiskey produced by Morrison Scotch Whiskey Distillers . The Morrison family have been involved in the whiskey trade for 5 generations as traders, brokers, blenders, bottlers and distillers, making them one of Scotland's oldest whiskey families. Morrison Scotch Whiskey Distillers is owned and operated solely by Jamie and Brian Morrison . This marks the return of the Morrison family to distilling since Brian Morrison sold Morrison Bowmore Distillers, after approximately 25 years. Today, their portfolio consists of four brands (Càrn Mòr, Mac-Talla, Old Perth and Bruadar) and the Aberargie Distillery located in Perth, in the Lowlands region.
Càrn Mòr is a range of rare and unique independent bottlings . Each release is strictly limited in batches. The brand is divided into 3 series: Strictly Limited (Single Malts with counts of less than 15 years old, with an alcohol content of 47.5%), Celebration of the Cask (Single Malts with counts of are over 15 years old, with cask strength) and Family Reserve (extremely limited and rare Single Casks, individually selected by Brian or Jamie Morrison of the Family Reserve).
This edition of Celebration of the Cask comes from the Auchentoshan Distillery , located in the Lowlands of Scotland. The whiskey was distilled on March 25, 1992 and aged 30 years in a unique Bourbon cask ( #1887) . It was bottled on May 2, 2022. Only 188 bottles were produced.
