Château Carbonneau - Le Pet Nat 2024
Château Carbonneau is located in Gensac, between Saint-Emilion and Bergerac in the Bordeaux wine region. The oldest known owner was Jacques Fouignet-Verbacle, in 1823. The château was built from 1860 by the Bachan family. The end of the 19th century marked the golden age of Bordeaux wine. At that time, the seven-volume Grand Larousse mentioned Château Carbonneau as "a vintage of fine Bordeaux wines." Since 1992, Jacqueline and Wilfrid Franc De Ferrière have been running the winery and have since modernized the winery and restored the château to accommodate guests.
Pet Nat is made from Merlot from a single fermentation which starts in the vat and ends in the bottle, without dosage ( ancestral method ).
The deposit is due to the absence of disgorging; it does not affect the taste qualities of the wine in any way.
