Etsu - Pacific Ocean Water Gin - 45%
Etsu is a gin brand produced in Japan . It has its roots in two distilleries nestled in exceptional natural environments. In Asahikawa , at the foot of the Taisetsu Mountains, the harsh climate and pure spring water give rise to expressions like Etsu Original or Etsu Pacific Ocean Water, known for their finesse and balance. Further south, in Akita Prefecture, a second distillery is dedicated to developing recipes with fruitier accents like Etsu Double Yuzu or Double Orange. The production method follows a meticulous process that favors the natural aromas of Japanese botanical ingredients . Depending on the distillery, maceration can last between 22 hours (Asahikawa) and 7 days (Akita), allowing plants such as yuzu, juniper, angelica, licorice or matcha to release their full aromatic potential.
Etsu Pacific Ocean Water Gin is distilled at the Asahikawa Distillery on the northern island of Hokkaido. It is distinguished by the use of water drawn from the depths of the Pacific Ocean during the distillation process. For added strength and character, this gin is distilled with botanicals after 22 hours of maceration. It is based on a unique blend of Japanese botanicals: yuzu, bitter orange, coriander, juniper, licorice, and angelica . It is ideal for enjoying in cocktails or with a tonic.
"A marine escape and Japanese freshness. This gin surprises with its delicate salinity, inherited from the water of the Pacific Ocean, which enhances the lively notes of yuzu and the herbal touches of coriander. Enjoy it as a G&T with a splash of sparkling water or as a martini twisted with a zest of lime."
