Champagne LECLERC BRIANT - Brut Réserve The Brut Réserve cuvée by Leclerc Briant is a champagne that combines indulgence, freshness, and style. It is a champagne that can be enjoyed as an aperitif or at the start of a meal. The Brut Réserve is a blend of 65% Pinot Meunier, which brings its fruitiness and roundness, 20% Pinot Noir, which gives structure and vinosity to the whole, and 15% Chardonnay, which brings a touch of freshness and more honeyed notes. This cuvée is vinified and aged in oak barrels, which gives the wine a lovely patina. Malolactic fermentation is carried out to round out the wine and give it its characteristic aromas. The dosage is Extra Brut (2g/l) to allow the wine to express itself at its best. Leclerc Briant is one of the first to practice organic viticulture in Champagne.

Champagne LECLERC BRIANT - Brut Réserve

The Champagne House Leclerc Briant is located in Epernay, in Champagne. It was created in Cumières in 1872 by Lucien Leclerc. Under the action of Bertrand Leclerc, great-grandson of the founder, and his wife Jacqueline Briant, the Domaine becomes Maison de Négoce. In 1990, Pascal Leclerc took over from his parents and continued their work. In 2012, the takeover of Leclerc Briant by Mark Nunnelly and Denise Dupré saved the House from oblivion. This American couple joins Frédéric Zeimett, originally from Champagne, who now manages the House. The House has 14 hectares of vines, mostly located in Grand Cru (Mailly, Le Mesnil) and Premier Cru (Hautvilliers, Cumières, Mareuil sur Aÿ, Bisseuil, Rilly La Montagne, Villers-Allerand, Trépail). The Domaine also includes a tiny plot of vines called La Croisette. Maison Leclerc Briant was one of the precursors of biodynamics in Champagne. From the end of the 1950s, Bertrand Leclerc was the first to implement organic farming practices, with the certifications undertaken by his son Pascal. Today, the entire vineyard is certified in biodynamic agriculture and all the range is labeled vegan.

The Brut Réserve is a blend of Pinot Noir (40%), Pinot Meunier (40%) and Chardonnay (20%) harvested in 2014. The wine is aged in barrels, dosed at 4 g/L and disgorged in February 2019.

Grape varieties: 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay
