Domaine Armand Heitz - Pinot Noir 2025
Armand Heitz is one of the Burgundian winemakers who have chosen to put life at the heart of their work. Based in Burgundy, he develops a farmer-winemaker approach based on observation, agroecology, and the pursuit of a sustainable balance between vine, soil, and environment. The estate advocates viticulture on living soils, with sowing, grass cover, composts, and mulches to nourish the plots and limit external inputs. This philosophy gives birth to frank, accessible wines deeply linked to their raw material. The Pinot Noir 2025 follows this line with a Vin de France cuvée designed for sharing, conviviality, and immediate pleasure. It reflects a freer facet of the estate, less attached to the prestige of an appellation than to the sincere expression of the grape variety. It is a Burgundy red in spirit, supple, fresh, and gourmand, ideal for discovering the Armand Heitz universe in a simple and lively style.
The Pinot Noir 2025 cuvée is made exclusively from Pinot Noir, the emblematic grape variety of Burgundy's great reds. The vines are grown on soils mixing schist, marl, and limestone, a diversity that brings freshness, finesse, and relief to the wine. The indicated yield for this cuvée is 45 hectoliters per hectare, aiming for a balance between fruit expression and palate precision. The 7-month aging in stainless steel tanks on lees preserves the aromatic brightness of Pinot Noir while adding a slight texture. The sought-after style remains direct, fruity, and digestible, without heavy extraction or marked oak aging. Armand Heitz presents this cuvée as fresh, gourmand, and spicy, perfectly suited for moments of sharing. The 2025 vintage should reinforce this idea of a supple, immediate, and joyful red to be enjoyed young.
In the glass, Domaine Armand Heitz Pinot Noir 2025 reveals a clear ruby robe, bright and luminous. The nose opens with fresh cherry, raspberry, redcurrant, and small red fruits, with a floral touch and a discreet peppery nuance. The palate is supple, juicy, and very accessible, carried by crunchy fruit and natural freshness. The tannins are fine, light, and well integrated, making the tasting particularly smooth. The finish returns to red fruits, soft spices, and a sensation of purity that invites you to come back. This Pinot Noir can be served slightly chilled, around 15 to 16°C, although the technical sheet recommends a range of 16 to 18°C. It will perfectly accompany roasted poultry, pork tenderloin, a platter of fine charcuterie, grilled vegetables, soft cheese, or simple and generous bistro cuisine.
