Domaine Morey Coffinet - Burgundy Côte d'Or - Pinot Noir 2024
The Domaine Morey-Coffinet, located in Chassagne-Montrachet in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, stands out as one of the most precise and committed signatures of contemporary Burgundy. Born from the union of the Morey and Coffinet families, the estate cultivates its plots with extreme attention to soil life and the natural balance of the vine. Managed under organic farming, with practices close to biodynamics, it favors controlled yields and perfectly ripe harvests. The vinifications are minimally interventionist, highlighting finesse, tension, and purity of the fruit. Each cuvée reflects a demanding reading of the Burgundian terroir.
The Burgundy Côte d’Or Pinot Noir 2024 is made exclusively from Pinot Noir, coming from plots located on carefully selected clay-limestone terroirs around Chassagne-Montrachet. The 2024 vintage highlights a fresh and precise expression of the grape variety, with balanced ripeness. The vinification is carried out delicately to preserve aromatic brightness and the finesse of the tannins. The aging, measured and controlled, supports the structure without overpowering the fruit. This cuvée perfectly illustrates the estate’s style: elegance, tension, and depth even on a regional appellation.
On tasting, the wine reveals a delicate nose of fresh cherry, raspberry, and violet, with a subtle spicy touch. The palate is supple and chiselled, carried by fine tannins and a beautiful freshness. The balance between crunchy fruit and light structure gives the wine great drinkability, while maintaining seriousness and precision. The finish is clean, slightly mineral, and elegant. This Pinot Noir will ideally accompany roasted poultry, white meats, or delicate Burgundian cuisine, and can evolve harmoniously for a few years in the cellar.
