Domaine Morey Coffinet - Ladoix Blanc 2024
The Domaine Morey-Coffinet, located in Chassagne-Montrachet in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, is distinguished by a precise and committed interpretation of Burgundy terroirs. Managed under certified organic farming FR-BIO-01, the vineyard is worked with rigor, favoring mechanical soil tillage and hand harvesting at perfect ripeness. The vinifications are minimally interventionist, with measured aging that supports the wine without altering its identity. The estate's style is marked by its tension, aromatic purity, and depth, even on less publicized appellations. Each cuvée benefits from the same rigor as the premiers and grands crus.
The Ladoix Blanc 2024 is made exclusively from Chardonnay, sourced from clay-limestone terroirs located in the commune of Ladoix-Serrigny, at the northern end of the Côte de Beaune. The 2024 vintage highlights a beautiful maturity combined with a natural freshness characteristic of the area. The vinification is followed by aging in carefully selected oak barrels, providing structure and complexity while preserving the fruit's brightness. This cuvée illustrates a straightforward and precise expression of Chardonnay, carried by the terroir's minerality.
On the palate, the wine reveals an elegant nose of white flowers, fresh lemon, and white-fleshed fruits, with a subtle buttery and lightly toasted note. The mouth is ample and balanced, supported by a fine mineral tension and beautiful energy. The whole offers harmony between roundness and freshness, with a persistent and delicately saline finish. This Ladoix Blanc will perfectly accompany grilled fish, shellfish, or poultry in a light sauce, and can evolve favorably for a few years in the cellar.
