Few great wines can boast of seven centuries of history and of being born out of the passion of a Pope. Clément V elected under Philippe Le Bel in 1305 was the first owner of Château Pape Clément to whom he gave his name. Its owner continues his work and creates a first in Bordeaux by hand-engraining the entire harvest. For the sake of excellence, the grains are conveyed by gravity in small capacity wooden vats, thus adapted to the surface area of each plot, where they will be vinified with the greatest respect from the vine to the bottle.
