Guy Meslin makes his first wine from the best plots of his 27 hectare vineyard which occupies a siliceous and clay-limestone terroir at the foot of the famous Saint-Émilion plateau. The vines are young, 20 years old on average and give birth to a wine composed of two large thirds of Merlot, a quarter of Cabernet Franc and the rest in Cabernet Sauvignon.
The harvest is manual and followed by a drastic sorting, carried out by an innovative machine of rare efficiency . This is followed by plot vinification in stainless steel vats and 18 months of aging, 12 to 14 of which take place in half-new oak barrels.
In this Saint-Émilion Grand Cru there is suppleness, character, intense fruitiness and classicism steeped in elegance .
