Crozes Hermitage

When the vine grows, the leaves are formed, the end of the plant is punctuated with small tendrils similar to "hooks hearts".

The AOC Crozes-Hermitage dates from 1937. It covers 11 municipalities on the left bank of the Rhône, for an area of around 1,500 hectares, on fluvio-glacial alluvial soils, rolled pebbles from the Rhône and loess, in a moderate continental climate, with hot and dry summers and regular rains during the other seasons.

The grape varieties used are 100% Syrah (vines less than 10 years old). After a destemmed harvest, the maceration lasts 15 days and the aging 12 months in barrels and 1/2 barrels of 500 liters. The result is appreciated: "Lacy of young Syrah fruit, with light and spicy tannins. Very digestible. A delight" .
