Domaine Thierry Navarre - Ribeyrenc 2019
Domaine Thierry Navarre is located in Roquebrun, in the Languedoc within the Saint-Chinian appellation. The twelve hectares of vines are planted on large terraces of brown schist and the grape varieties are those of the AOC Saint-Chinian (Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault and Syrah) as well as forgotten grape varieties such as Terret, Oeillade or Ribeyrenc. The estate is managed by Thierry Navarre, third in a generation of winegrowers. The vineyard is managed in a sustainablemanner, with respect for the environment, cycles and seasons and natural preparations, without chemicals.
Ribeyrenc is made only from the grape of the same name. Ribeyrenc is one of the oldest forgotten grape varieties in Languedoc, which Thierry Navarre has replanted on three hillsides of schist exposed to the South East after having discovered a few stocks in old vines. This grape variety offers great prospects for the future due to the ambient climate change.
