Château Beauregard Mirouze - Ciel du Sud 2018
Château Beauregard-Mirouze is located in Corbières in the Languedoc. The family estate belongs to Karine and Nicolas Mirouze. They own 25 hectares of vines entirely managed in certified biodynamic agriculture since 2018. The estate is also made up of 2 hectares of olive trees and the couple have about fifty sheep grazing in their vines from November to April. They produce 10 cuvées to orient each plot unit. This selective work, which is questioned each year, is the basis of their qualitative mastery. All the grapes are harvested by hand, fermentations are spontaneous with indigenous yeasts and vinified without inputs.
Ciel du Sud Rouge is a blend of Carignan (50%), Syrah (30%) and Grenache (20%) grown on the northern slopes of the Massif de Fontfroide. The grapes are destemmed and then macerated for ten days with some pumping over. The wine is aged in vats for 9 months. The label for this cuvée was designed by artist Philippe Nivez.
Grape varieties: 50% Carignan, 30% Syrah, 20% Grenache
