Domaine Neumeyer - Le Berger - Pinot Noir 2019
Domaine Neumeyer is located in Molsheim, Alsace. The estate was founded in 1925 and four generations have followed since. The current team is made up of Jérôme Neumeyer, Marie Neumeyer-Tonner and Frédéric Tonner. The vineyard covers 16 hectares, spread over three municipalities, including the famous localities Schaefferstein, Stierkopf and the Grand Cru Bruderthal. All the plots are managed according to the principles of organic farming and the winemaking techniques are minimalist.
The Pinot Noir Berger is a plot cuvée from the locality of Schaefferstein in Molsheim, which literally means “rock of the shepherd”. This south-east facing terroir made up of marl-limestone subsoil of Muschelkalk benefits from a gentle slope, resulting in gentle ripening of the grapes.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir
