Château Lafitte - Jurançon Réserve 2015
Château Lafitte is a former 14th century manor house, located in Monein, between Pau and Oloron Sainte-Marie, in the Atlantic Pyrenees. The current owners of Château Lafitte, Philippe and Brigitte Arraou, have been undertaking a project for the past thirty years that has always been a dream for them: to relaunch wine production. Since 2012, their son Antoine, a passionate winegrower, committed to preserving the environment, has managed the estate. He changed it from organic farming to biodynamics, and paved the way for natural wines. It produces high quality wines while respecting the balance of the land and the vine. The 5-hectare vineyard is made up of equal parts Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng.
The Jurançon Réserve is made from Petit Manseng harvested manually during the second half of November. Fermentation is spontaneous then the wine is aged on fine lees for 24 months, in oak barrels.
Grape variety: 100% Petit Manseng
