Château RAYMOND LAFON 2015
Château Raymond-Lafon is located in Sauternes, in the Bordeaux wine region. It was founded in 1850 and today covers 18 hectares, of which 16 hectares are in production. In 1972, Francine and Pierre Meslier became owners of the château. Agronomist from Montpellier, Pierre Meslier was able to apply his vast experience of Sauternes wines to the cultivation of his vineyard, to the vinification and aging of the wines of Château Raymond-Lafon. Francine Meslier was responsible for the day-to-day management of the property. Since 1990 it is their children, Marie-Françoise, Charles-Henri and Jean-Pierre and Pierre Meslier who continue the work of their parents.
The wine is a blend of Sémillon (80%) and Sauvignon Blanc (20%). The botrytised grapes are harvested grain by grain, by successive sorting of 3 to 10 passages. The wine is aged for 3 years in Merrain oak barrels.
