DOMAINE FRANCOIS CROCHET - Le Chêne Marchand 2019
Domaine François Crochet is located in the village of Bué, in the appellation of Sancerre in the Loire Valley . The family estate was taken over in 1998 by François Crochet after training with Burgundian winegrowers. He operates 11 hectares of certified organic vines. He favors parcel-based cuvées and his aging is carried out in such a way as to preserve the expression of the fruit and the terroir.
The Le Chêne Marchand cuvée is made from Sauvignon Blanc grown on a plot of limestone soil strewn with small flat stones which restore, at night, the heat accumulated during the day. The vines are around 40 years old and are harvested manually. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, and the wine is aged 10 to 11 months on the lees .
Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
