Cellier Saint Benoit - Crémant du Jura
Le Cellier Saint Benoît is located in the village of Pupillin , in the Jura . The family farm has existed for 4 generations, but was devoted to mixed farming with the crops sold to the Pupillin cooperative. Denis Benoit , from the 3rd generation, made the decision to focus all his work on the vines, to also integrate the work of the cellar and created Cellier Saint Benoit in the family's old farm building. Today, the succession is taken over by Benjamin Benoit , a graduate of viticulture studies in Beaune with experience in Burgundy and New Zealand. The vineyard is managed using sustainable agriculture .
Crémant du Jura is made from Chardonnay , the vines of which were planted in 1990 on limestone terroir at an altitude of 408 meters. The whole bunches are pressed then the wine is produced according to the traditional method .
