Deutz - Demi-Sec Vintage 2015
The Deutz Champagne House is located in Aÿ, in the Marne Valley in Champagne . It was founded in 1838 by wine merchants William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann. In 1983, after generations of ownership by the Deutz and Geldermann families, the company was sold to the Rouzaud family, owners of Louis Roederer . Nearly 80% of the fruit comes from Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites. Most of Deutz's wine farms are in the Aÿ region, with additional plots in the Côte des Blancs. The house also uses grapes from contract producers. In the cellar, the still base wines are vinified in single-plot stainless steel vats. After the second fermentation, the bottles are aged in underground cellars.
Deutz Demi-Sec is a blend of equal parts Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier from the 2015 vintage. The dosage is between 32 and 50 g/L of residual sugars.
Grape varieties: 1/3 Pinot Noir, 1/3 Chardonnay, 1/3 Meunier
