Les Hauts de Meyney 2012
Château Meyney is located in the town of Saint-Estèphe , in the Bordeaux wine region. Established as an ecclesiastical vineyard in 1662, it is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc, even if its modern history begins in 1917 when it was acquired by the Cordier family. The estate was bought in 2004 by Crédit Agricole Grands Crus . The optimization plan for the entire vineyard initiated during the takeover is today carried out by Anne Le Naour , Technical Director of the estate, assisted by the advice of oenologist Hubert de Bouärd .
Les Hauts de Meyney is the second wine of the château. The 2012 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (56%) and Merlot (44%) . After manual harvesting, vinification is traditional then the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels .
