Champagne Leclere-Minard - La Trame Noire 2020
Champagne Leclere-Minard is located in Coulommes-la-Montagne, in the Montagne de Reims region of Champagne. Founded in 1922 in Courmas, the estate is now run by Clément Leclere , the fourth generation of winemakers in the family. Since 2021, Clément has taken over full management of the estate's 2.3 hectares, spread across four villages: Coulommes-la-Montagne, Pargny-lès-Reims, Tramery, and Courmas. Clément Leclere adopts an artisanal and environmentally friendly approach . He practices sustainable viticulture, without herbicides or insecticides, and uses a small tracked tractor to avoid soil compaction. Biodiversity is preserved through minimal mowing and the planting of trees that encourage local wildlife. In the cellar, Clément vinifies each plot separately, in oak barrels, with indigenous yeasts, without filtration or fining, and with minimal sulfur.
La Trame Noire is made from Meunier from the “Le Mont Robert” plot planted in 1969 in Tramery. The grapes come from the 2020 vintage and are vinified in barrels and demi-muids on fine lees. It was disgorged in April 2024 and bottled without dosage . 928 bottles were produced.
Grape variety: 100% Meunier
"La Trame Noire 2020 immediately imposes its style: a pure, straightforward, and charismatic terroir Meunier. A Champagne without makeup that calls for the table."
