Bénédicte and Stéphane TISSOT - Cuvée DD (Poulsard - Pinot Noir - Trousseau) 2023
Domaine Stéphane Tissot has become a leading reference in Jura wines for years. Maurice Tissot, André Tissot's father and Stéphane's grandfather, owned 3 hectares of vines (vinified in a cooperative) and 25 hectares of farmland. In 1956, he decided to plant vines for each of his four sons: Jacques, Jean-Louis, Daniel and André. The latter inherited 38 ares, which would become the André and Mireille Tissot estate, now run by their son Stéphane. Stéphane Tissot is a rebellious spirit who appropriates traditions while sublimating them. After studying Viticulture/Oenology, he joined his father at the family estate in 1989. He gradually took over management of the estate and adopted organic farming in 1999, then switched to biodynamics in 2004. Today they own 43 hectares planted with classic Jura grape varieties: Savagnin, Chardonnay, Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir.
The Cuvée DD 2023 is an original blend of Poulsard, Pinot Noir and Trousseau , emblematic grape varieties of the Jura. The nose expresses a gourmet register of small red fruits , dried flowers and fine spices . On the palate, the texture is supple and silky , carried by a beautiful freshness and elegant tannins. The balance between lightness and complexity offers a juicy and persistent finish, revealing a convivial, refined wine full of personality. A red of character, ideal to accompany roast poultry, fine charcuterie or dishes inspired by bistro cuisine. A cuvée that perfectly illustrates the know-how of the Tissot family and the natural elegance of the Jura grape varieties.
