Champagne A. Lamblot - Intuition Nature
Champagne A. Lamblot is rooted in Janvry, in the Petite Montagne de Reims, a Champagne area where the terrain, exposures, and soil diversity produce wines with a strong character. Alexandre Lamblot represents the thirteenth generation of a family of winemakers present in the region since the 17th century, but his approach reflects a very contemporary reading of the craft. The estate seeks lively, sincere, and expressive champagnes, with particular attention to biodiversity and soil vitality. This philosophy is expressed through organic, natural, and low-intervention practices designed to support the vine rather than constrain it. In the Champagne appellation, A. Lamblot favors a winemaker identity based on observation, intuition, and precision of gesture. Intuition Nature fully embodies this vision as a blend cuvée that aims to combine energy, finesse, and complexity.
The Champagne A. Lamblot Intuition Nature cuvée is made from the three main Champagne grape varieties, with a dominance of Meunier complemented by Pinot Noir and Chardonnay according to the balance specific to each vintage. Its origin combines the Montagne de Reims, the Saint-Thierry Massif, and the Ardre Valley, three areas that each bring a different nuance to the wine's construction. The soils are marked by a dominance of Thanetian sands, accompanied by a small proportion of Ypresian silts, contributing to an expression that is both fine, supple, and taut. The name Intuition Nature aptly reflects the estate's approach, which adapts the blend to the vintage's sensations rather than fixing a recipe. The Brut Nature style, without dosage, reveals the purity of the fruit, the frankness of the material, and the precision of the finish. This cuvée presents itself as a dry, vibrant, and direct champagne, supported by a very natural reading of the Champagne terroir.
On tasting, Champagne A. Lamblot Intuition Nature offers a bright profile, with an aromatic expression that can evoke white fruits, citrus, ripe apple, and fine floral nuances. Meunier brings fruity relief and a sensation of flesh, while Pinot Noir strengthens the structure and Chardonnay stretches the palate with more freshness. The absence of dosage gives a clear, precise attack, without disguise, allowing the texture to express itself naturally. The palate maintains a beautiful energy, between mineral tension, discreet salinity, and dry balance. The finish is straight and salivating, with a persistence that calls for food. This champagne will pair very well with oysters, shellfish, a white fish ceviche, fine poultry, or a lightly aged fresh cheese. It can be enjoyed now for its brightness, while gaining depth after a few years of cellar aging.
