Chateau PAPE CLÉMENT 2015
On the optimum date set for each plot, the harvest is carried out manually in small crates with a first sorting in the vineyard. After manual ginning and pressing, the musts are transferred by gravity. The vinification of each plot is carried out in an optimized way in small oak vats (50 to 140 hl) for 20 to 35 days. After draining in barrels by gravity, the malolactic fermentation and aging are carried out in new barrels for 18 to 20 months. A strict selection reserves the best cuvées for the great wine .
With their smoky and spicy bouquet, the red wines are of admirable quality and very characteristic mellowness. The wine is at the same time concentrated, fine and harmonious , presenting an aromatic palette as broad as it is precise. The depth and length on the palate are exceptional. Quality of the terroir, sustained efforts and dynamism have borne fruit, bringing Pape Clément to a level very close to that of the premier crus.
