Barn Saint Sauveur - Red 2017
Domaine Grange Saint Sauveur is located near Angers, in the Loire Valley . It is a brand new domain on a land unearthed by Antoine Pouponneau and his wife . They are pure Angevins. Antoine, a renowned oenologist is, for example, the vinification advisor for Clos Canerelli. He is also one of the founders of the Biocépage laboratory, which aims to identify indigenous yeasts on a given terroir, in order to best transcribe the quality and specificity of each terroir. Their vineyard is a "nugget" that they took several years to find: 6.5 hectares acquired in 2017. Converted immediately to organic farming , La Grange Saint Sauveur has just produced its first wine with this red cuvée from a Enclosed of 65 ares . A small garden with a variety of Cabernet Franc (15%) and Grolleau (85%). The vines are cut in goblets on a terroir of clay and sandstone and managed by Eric Dubois (ex-Clos Cristal).
65 ares, very few bottles ... A beautiful wine to taste or to age a few years.
Grape varieties: 85% Grolleau, 15% Cabernet Franc
