Dominio del Aguila - Picaro del Aguila - Viñas Viejas 2018
Dominio Del Águila is located in La Aguilera in Ribera Del Duero, in Spain. It is family-owned and run by Jorge Monzónand Isabel Rodero. The 30-hectares vineyard is made of very old vines, mostly in organic farming. Jorge comes from a family of winemakers, he studied “Soil, Viticulture and Oenology” in Bordeaux and Burgundy, and also worked with Domaine De La Romanée-Conti and Vega Sicilia.
Pícaro Del Águila is a blend of Tempranillo, Blanca del País, Garnacha and Bobal. The grapes are not destemmed and trodded by feet. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out in oak barrels and the wine is aged for 20 months in oak barrels before bottling.
