Château Carbonneau - Clairet - Le nouveau souffle 2020
Château Carbonneau is located in Gensac, between Saint-Emilion and Bergerac in the Bordeaux wine region. The oldest known owner is Jacques Fouignet-Verbacle, in 1823. The Château was built from 1860 by the Bachan family. The end of the 19th century marks the golden age of Bordeaux wine. At that time, the Grand Larousse in seven volumes mentioned Château Carbonneau as "a vintage of good Bordeaux wines". Since 1992, Jacqueline and Wilfrid Franc De Ferrière have operated the wine property and have since modernised the winery and restored the château to receive guests.
Le Nouveau Souffle is a confidential cuvée produced in 672 bottles. This is a traditional Clairet, the result of a blend of Cabernet Franc and Malbec. The vinification is carried out with indigenous yeasts at low temperature with a bleeding process after 48 hours of skin maceration.
Grape varieties: 50% Cabernet Franc, 50% Malbec
